Cool breeze and fresh air.
If you have a taste for adventure and thrills, Cameron Highlands is not recommended. It is a place of relaxation, most people just go up there to enjoy the air for a few hours, enough for a long time. There's nothing fun to do, unless you've never been there, then I suggest that you can go ahead and try to pluck some strawberries, spend some unnecessary money, gaze at the night sky with a cup of hot cocoa and freeze yourself to half-dead without the use of fans or aircons. Now, not to get too far out of topic, it's strawberry time!
Photos taken by phone with crappy quality and bad angles. Some photos are even from my previous trips and searched on Internet. I have no idea why I want to blog about a place that I've been to a thousand time hahahaha.
First stop: Green View Garden
This is the first place you will come across once you go up the hills of Cameron, way before you reach Brinchang, if you take the route from Simpang Pulai, Perak. It has a souvenir shop in front that sells food and drinks, a strawberry farm inside and a big chocolate shop beside.
I always always stop here for the rest rooms and to eat some corn before starting my so-called-Cameron-trip. They sell all kind of things there, anything to do with the local food products.
Chocolate fondue with strawberries and cherry tomatoes. Truth is I prefer to have the cherry tomatoes, the strawberries are always very soury.

Cameron Highlands,
Pahang, Malaysia.
Open daily: 9am to 7pm
Second stop: Cameron Lavender
Going up the hill road to Brinchang a little more, you'll see this lovely purple place. It's a flower garden with a little patch of lavender that wasn't even in season when I went there. Selling all kinds of lavender souvenir and a little cafe that has food and drinks that contains lavender.
This is the first time I've been to this place, it has only recently opened. For your information, Lavender season is in the end of Summer which is mid of July. All the flowers you see once you are in the place. Don't be mistaken, these are not the lavender you want to see, these are Malaysian lavender. The little lavender scones and lavender tea I had in their cafe.
Tringkap, Cameron Highlands,
39100 Pahang, Malaysia.
Mon to Thu: 9am to 6pm
Fri to Sun: 9am to 7pm
Third stop: Apartment We stopped somewhere along the way to buy some vegetables and were tired from all the travelling in car so decided to get back to our apartment and start to get ready for our steamboat dinner. The apartment is located at Tanah Rata and rated at RM450 per night for my stay because it was on public holiday. Fourth stop: Starbucks Not really a big fan of Starbucks due to my allergies for caffeine, so I ordered Hot Chocolate to warm myself up. The place was fully packed when I went there because it was raining heavily, trust me when I say you don't want to be in Cameron when it's raining cats and dogs, it's really really cold! We played some board games, I forgot the names but they were extremely fun to play. Oh I feel like a little kid again whenever I have fun. LOL. Us youngsters, all the family friends. We've been having family outings since we were still babies unable to crawl. Our parents are super tight. Fourth stop: Mansions near Brinchang It wasn't exactly in our plan to visit this place but someone introduced to us saying this place is amazing having mansions rating RM4million and above. I couldn't even take pictures inside the mansions because the space was too big, nothing could fit inside my tiny phone camera. According to someone, it's an empty land bought by some rich club members and built to be their vacation houses. Dang those rich people, no place to spend their money. Four storeys, multiple fireplaces, at least 10 rooms, elevator, small cinema/karaoke room, jacuzzi and swimming pool. Such luxury! Fifth stop: BOH Tea Plantation There is so many tea plantations up in Cameron that you might not know which one to visit. I have been to two in my previous trips and this one is another new place which I think is great. Like any tourist attraction, it offers a cafe for you sit down and enjoy a cup of its finest tea and scones. It is tucked inside of Brinchang and named BOH Tea Centre Sungai Palas. BOH tea souvenirs are sold here and a little museum tour for you to understand more about its product. The environment there is truly amazing but I skipped my chance of sitting down to chill because the line to buy a cup of tea is too long. It was a Sunday, typical.
Open daily: 9am to 4.30pm, closes on Mondays.
And that ends my post of the trip I had two weeks ago. Hope I added some places to your plan in Cameron and enjoy your relaxation. Labels: travel 0 Comments:
