Hong Kong for CNY 2014. Part I
Totally excited for the vacation with no time to spare once I was back from KL to Penang to pack my things. I was actually missing two weeks of class for the whole CNY plus I didn't even buy enough new year stuffs, not to mention a pair of comfortable shoes as all of my flats were spoilt. I actually wore a pair of heels to vacation, they aren't very high but they made me want to cry everytime I walk.
Moral of the story before it even started: Never convince yourself that you can survive walking in heels the whole day several days, you can not. I repeat, YOU CAN NOT!
It is actually my first time to travel so far away from Malaysia, I've been to other countries like Thailand a billion times but sitting in the plane for 3 hours plus is the sign of really travelling haha.
Our flight was at 7pm so we could see the sunset horizon from the plane. Sooooo beautiful :)
By the time we reach our hotel at North Point 北角 it was already 12am and we were starving. Randomly picked this corner little shop for supper. With three bowls of mee, it cost us HKD78 which is approx RM32. God damn right!? It was obvious that the living standard of HK was incredibly unbelievably high.
Day 1: Hong Kong Disneyland
From my place in North Point to HK Disneyland is a trip around an hour by public transport. We had to start travelling at 7am to avoid crowds, considering that we all slept at 2am.
You know what this meanssssssssssss!? The adorable Mickey train which made kids go gaga and unwilling to get off.
[Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy]
Not to say I'm choosing my favourite of 3 little sisters, I prefer to take photo with the third Ong cause she looks better on camera hahahahaa. We spent half of the day walking the whole Disneyland and taking rides, even my cowardly mama got on a roller coaster with us. The later half of the day was spent sitting at the cafeteria snacking on all the food we could buy we wanted to wait till the fireworks show which was at 9pm. We ended up not seeing the fireworks cause all of us was too tired and the sky was already getting dark by 6pm. Took the round-theme-park train back and forth and had the chance to take photos with few of the Disney characters. Mickey was such a gentleman holding my hand *blush*. Gong hei fatt choy from the Ong family :) Honestly, Disneyland wasn't as fun as I expected. Not that I'm too old to have fun, it was just that it's more suitable for kids below 14 years old. But I don't regret coming here, at least I felt like a little kid experiencing the old Disney world.
