Hong Kong for CNY 2014. Part III
Day 3: Taipa

Third day of the vacation, aka fourth day of CNY 初四, was the most wasted day of the whole vacation. We woke up late and couldn't buy earlier tickets to go Macau from Hong Kong Island. Waited until 3pm for the ship and we nearly missed it. By the time we reach the hotel and rested enough, it was already sunset. Took the free bus service to Taipa 氹仔 to look at the beautiful casinos at night.

My dad has been here for a billion times so he knew where to go and which one was more spectacular. We wanted to go for what claims to be "The most amazing show of all time", The House of Dancing Water 水舞间, which is priced at freaking HKD580 per adult. OMFG right!? But then it was all sold out so we saved a lot of money there.

We went to The Venetian 威尼斯人 first as I knew it had the theme of Venice on a floor of shops (Shopping time!).

Beautiful, isn't it? The person in the photo looks more beautiful lah actually LOLOL.

Took a picture of OOTD and that's it, no more pictures for the night.

We walked around to almost all the casinos and had the chance to see rich mofos losing their money away on HKD5000 a game. Goddammit you people, give me lah give me -_-

Day 4: Macau

*Jeng Jeng* I look so fab in this dress with and without the coat!

Set out for another day of walking with no directions, we had breakfast at a place near our hotel. Never judge the food by the cover of the shop. The pork burger they sell was the best I have ever tasted my whole life, better than any other franchise stores.

If you're a fan of milk and not lactose intolerant, I recommend you to this Yi Shun Milk 义顺鲜奶. You will firstly notice a lot of bowls stacked in a glass cabinet in front of the store and wonder what are they, they are actually steamed milk with a thin layer of "skin" 双奶皮 which is why it is so famous. I'm not a big fan of milk but I liked it so you could probably try it too.

The Ruins of St. Paul's (Ruínas de São Paulo) 大三巴牌坊 is the signature of Macau. You're not counted as visited Macau if you didn't take a tourist photo with it.

First try of this Turkish ice cream. Ewwwwww so weird! Well, at least I saw the tricks and took a photo with the lengzai ;)

Hahahahahahaha so stupid of this mascot. Pity the guy, he wasn't allowed to show any reaction.

Macau has a lot of churches due to being under Portugal colony till late 1999. St. Dominic's Church (Igreja de São Domingos) 玫瑰堂 is in respect of Lady of the Rosary which led to the Chinese of the church. The Baroque-style interior will leave you breathless.

I don't know why it is so famous here at Senado Square (Largo do Senado) 議事亭前地. It is just that it's surrounded by all the Portuguese buildings, it's not even as beautiful as the church I saw before.

Suddenly my dad decided he wants to visit the famous Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre (Centro de Ecuménico Kun Iam) 觀音蓮花苑. The big problem here is, it's FREAKING SUPER DUPER far from where we were at.

So we walked along the big roads and sidewalks for more than an hour with resting 5 minutes every 15 minutes cause our feet were killing us.

Truth is, there's nothing to see here, it's just a statue :/ yeah so I took a photo of the ice cream instead LOL

Then we went to Macau Science Center (Centro de Ciência de Macau) 澳門科學館 near the statue. The exterior gave me a feeling that it was gonna be awesome inside.. And I wasn't disappointed!

As a closeted geek, I am totally in love with anything about Science. The interior has 16 spiral rooms of awesomeness and we stayed there for 3 hours plus cause I wasn't willing to leave. *Thrilled like a 5-year-old kid*

This is a map I took of Macau in the Science museum, the route of my whole day journey of walking. Click to enlarge. From my hotel to Ruins of St. Paul's to Senado Square to Kum Iam statue to this Science museum to the jetty only I get to take a bus to Casino Lisboa and then take taxi back the hotel. Tiring, just by looking at the route, isn't it?

On our walk to the jetty, we pass through a theme park called Fisherman's Wharf (Doca dos Pescadores) 渔人码头. We didn't finish the whole theme park but we saw this part of it which resemblance to Rome with the Colosseum.

At the jetty, we took a bus to Casino Lisboa 葡京 to enjoy the stunning waterworks. Something that was more amazing than anything is that inside the casino, there is a center piece that everyone surrounds and awaits.

When you look up, there's this gorgeous ceiling art of the twelve Chinese zodiac 十二生肖.

After waiting for 10 minutes so, music started playing *bum bum bummmm* and the ceiling starts to open up and the center piece starts to open up too.. And then BAM a big ass chandelier comes down and a big ass tree comes up. It's absolutely astonishing!

And that concludes our night in Macau.

..To be continued.
