Hong Kong for CNY 2014. Part IV
Day 5: Kowloon

By the time we reach Kowloon 九龍 from Macau, it was already 2pm. The sixth day of CNY 初六, it'd be weird if the streets weren't filled with HK people walking around or going to work. Finally I can hear Cantonese all over the place and I get to use my newly-learnt-from-KL Cantonese to communicate.

We had to walk from the Kowloon Jetty 中國客運碼頭出入境管制站 to the Tsim Sha Tsui 尖沙咀 station to walk further to East Tsim Sha Tsui 尖東 station only we could take the MTR (LRT) to Hung Hom 紅磡 and change lane to get to Mong Kok East 旺角東 where our hotel was. It sounds complicated and tiring right? Been there done that.

On our way to the station, we saw this adorable little van selling ice cream that you see on TV all the time. Couldn't help it, had to have it.

ICE CREAM! 18°C? No big deal.

Reached Metropark Hotel Kowloon 九龍維景酒店 at approximately 4pm to check in and leave our luggage. Daddy was lucky to get an upgrade to its club floor. Just look at our room! It looks exactly like those rooms on TV that even the poor people can afford but actually they can never LOL.

And then off we go to the Ladies Market 女人街. Truth be told, this does not attract me at all, it's high-priced night market to suck money off those China tourists. Sorry, I'm not from China, I can speak Cantonese and get the price cut 80%! Lesson learnt: Never buy from the first stall you see, there will definitely be another stall selling hell cheaper beside it.

The smelly tofu 臭豆腐 here is not smelly at all. I'd go back Cheras to line up than to pay for this over-priced non-stinky shit hahahaha.

Welcome to Avenue of Stars 星光大道! I guess this is what people always talk about when they go to Penang's Straits Quay. Oh the city lights is incredible and the wind, you'd feel like you'll be blown away if you didn't hold on to anything.

Because we took two separate cabs to this location, we were apart from each other again. Waited for more than an hour with the strong strong wind blowing right on my face, nearly freezing to death.

So we three sisters walked the whole thing by ourselves and had this delicious butter covered cuttle. I forgot the price, just keep in mind that everything relating to food is over-priced.

The famous Bruce Lee 李小龙 statue.

My hand on Louis Koo's 古天乐 handprint.

We decided to hide inside Starbucks to continue waiting for our parents. Ordered the cheapest thing on the menu. When the weather is that cold, even a blueberry muffin can warm you up.

Finally our parents arrived to the meeting point and turns out they were at the end of the Star Avenue! Plot twist!

Oh yeah, I know, I look like a freaking star! *Blink*

Day 6: MongKok

Our last day in HK, I felt extremely sad that I was leaving my amazing hotel room, not too much of HK cause our planning for the whole vacation was kind of an epic fail. We didn't even get to go shopping and buy all those cheap branded stuffs.

The last meal we had before we took off to the airport. HK's dim sum is the boom! My whole life was a lie! No dim sum in Malaysia can ever beat this! You fools! I miss this terribly D:

And that wraps up our HK experiences.

The end.
