Detective Conan FTW.
I can never finish on talking about my amazing pre-teenhood, all happened in between age of 9 till 15: The first online game, my first virtual pet, first handphone bought.. Ahh.. And my first comic book/anime "Detective Conan".

Let's begin by talking about how I started to read comic book. At the age of 9, I was not a big fan of reading (including comics and novels) and/or the language Bahasa Malaysia. I always had a very very very bad grade for my Malay exams and that means failing every paper of it, my mom was determined for me to learn it up to be able to survive in Malaysia (Yes, our country needs this language for every governmental/educational purpose). She took the initiative to bring me to a comic book store near our house and asked for Malay comic that might interest me. Of course, I hated the thought of reading, not even drawings would do for me.

The shopkeeper handed me a comic book with brown covers and a kid in Sherlock Holmes outfit with specs on top of the cover, the title of the book was in Malay "Detektif Conan". I ended up renting a few of them, my mom even forced me to read them all, she said it will help me to improve my language skill.

Out of my expectation, the stories were extremely good with its reasoning and detective works. I fell in love with the comic even though I did not understand the language at all. After a few volumes, I continued renting them in the Chinese language so I could at least get what it was about, my level of understanding was really poor at that time. I read until volume 40+ then I stopped because I had to deal with the biggest exam at that time, UPSR.

I continued chasing the story around 16 years old and gave up again because of SPM. Till now, I have no continue my chase but am watching the movies on PPS. If you're interested, you could read some of the stories [HERE] but it wouldn't be as exciting as reading a real comic book or watching the anime.

Got me hooked like apple pie.
My mood: [[]]

Last post I talked about Maple Story being my addiction since 8 years ago, this post will be about the sad story of me giving up MS. (Oh noooooo!)

Naaah, there's nothing to be sad of cause it's actually a very common thing happening to me. Ya'know why? My house's internet SUCKS, That's why! If you were me, you'd be cursing hard at TMnet every single day of your miserable pathetic life. No, I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about me, that's me.

The sudden return of this game is due to my boyfriend installing it on my laptop while I was busy preparing for my examinations. And that was when I was still staying in a hostel, now that I've moved back home to the  forever-useless-1Mbps-connection-that-cannot-be-upgraded-because-I-live-in-front-of-a-hill, I can no longer enjoy the fun of MS that is the adorable characters and monsters of the Maple World. Well, at least I've reached level 77, my first time hitting so high. It's because MS has became extremely easy to level-up over the years compared to when I first started playing it back in year 2004. Shameless to say, my highest level back in the days was level 36, hahahahahahah! (Really shameless)

Currently extremely sick with flu/cough/fever and laying in bed, I wanted to upload a photo of my character but I very stupidly do not know how to screen shot the game because I don't have the print screen button on my laptop. Berry soli ha. (Say byebye!) Oh, bye.

Maybe the past is like an anchor holding us back.
Finally the examinations are over, my college Diploma life is over, I've got a whole year to rest and work until a new Advanced Diploma life (Well mostly work and work and work only). The year rest is because I failed some of my papers miserably so I couldn't graduate with my friends, SAD! I put aside my addictions of playing The Sims 3 and Maple Story for a few days to concentrate on my studies, I will continue on playing The 100 Baby Challenge ASAP, once everything has settled down (meaning I've unpacked EVERYTHING).

Just today, I've found my old addiction again - yes, TS3 and MS are both old addictions dating back to 8 years ago or more - Neopets! Cute, adorable, virtually cuddly creatures indeed. Started back when I was only 9 years old, it was Y3 of Neopets BUT NOW it's already Y14! How fast has time flew pass? And that has revealed my non-secretive age to the world wide web, tada.

I now welcome you to the world of Neopets!
How cute is the main page? See, there's even 2500NP (Neopoints) giving away if you sign up now. That's a lot NP for a newbie. I remember I only got 200NP when I first started playing Neopets in their Y3.

After creating an account, you can now create your own neopet. There's 42 species of neopets available with limited edition neopets out accordance to events. I chose this furry little JubJub and named it FairyHunter, it's an inside joke from my MS character.

There'll be a tutorial to teach you how to play Neopets, don't worry.

You can say that I'm pretty addictive to games and kinda childish for still playing some of the games I'm still playing but you can never deny that the games I play are awesome, muahaha! AWE-SOME!

Here's my JubJub with its petpet, FairyHunt, saying hello to you and welcoming you to join us at Neopets. My username is oopsgrin, do add me as your neofriend and neomail me sometime. (:
